Kohl’s Cooks for Kids

Cora and her mom Jodi participated in Kohl’s Family Nutrition & Cooking Classes at Anona United Methodist Church. According to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital their Kohl's Cooks for Kids classes are designed to:

  • Teach interesting facts about the foods we eat;
  • Teach the skills needed to create delicious, quick meals; and
  • Provide the information necessary to make healthy food choices.

We would discuss different topics then cook using the provided recipes in small groups. Although Cora has discussed her fear of the stove she was able to cook in this class and did quite well. We created asian lettuce wraps and chicken quesadillas.
